Veteran Health Issues and Services

Often before a productive job search can begin, health issues arise that need attention. 
The Veterans Representative can provide referrals to the appropriate agencies.  Below are links to many of the agencies and organizations that serve the healthcare needs of veterans.

US Dept of Veterans Affairs - Health Care - This is the portal for access to the VA Healthcare system.

Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling and outreach services to veterans who served in any combat zone. They also provide services to their family members for military related issues.

National Resource Directory is an online partnership of "shared care" providing information on, and access to, services and resources for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans, their families and families of the fallen, and those who support them from recovery and rehabilitation to community reintegration.

After Deployment - A mental wellness resource for service members, veterans and Military Families.

Brain Injury Association of America  exists to support, assist, and advocate for persons with acquired brain injury and for their families.

The Mesothelioma Cancer Center is committed to providing the latest, up-to-date information in hopes of spreading awareness about the dangers of asbestos.  Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of living veterans were exposed to toxic asbestos-containing materials during military service.
