Iowa Workforce Development is in the process of replacing the prior Skill Center
System with a new product. Before it can be deployed it is necessary to discontinue the Skill Center until the new system can be implemented. The new product will provide job seekers and employers new functionality. Until the new system is deployed,

Pending Job Seeker Enhancements:

Create an individual job match profile over the Internet to establish a user
account.

Using your web browser software you will be able to create your own
personal profile to conduct your work search.

Create a personal job order query that will alert you by e-mail of new job order listings meeting your expectations.

Create a request for placing a blinded version of your
résumé on the Internet for direct searches by pre-approved employers.

Ability to query the job listings and submit your choices in a shopping cart. Your request will receive a
follow-up with employer specific information when employer data is not made public via the Internet.

Create your personal skill index in your candidate profile to reflect your talents.
Pending Employer Enhancements:

Create an individual company contact profile over the Internet to establish a user account. Using your web browser software you will be able to establish an account that allows a company contact to interact directly with IWD and its candidates.

Ability to enter your own job orders and ask them to be processed according to your instructions; publish on web, display my company information, etc.

Ability to query for candidates that provided a blinded
résumé to IWD.
Submit candidate requests to IWD in a shopping cart for purposes of arranging a screening.

Create a query to alert you by e-mail of new IWD candidates that have the skills that you are searching for in candidates.

Create a job order index of required skills that will be used to match candidates against your job order requirements.

Enhanced display of job order information on the Internet.
Large companies with multiple hiring officials are permitted to have multiple contacts.
