The Regional Workforce Investment Board (RWIB) is appointed by the governor in consultation with the Chief Elected Official board. The RWIB plays a leading role in establishing policy for the Region's Workforce Development Center system and oversees the system's service delivery.

Each board shall have 5 voting members from business and 5 voting members from labor, and shall include one county elected official, one city official, one representative of a school district, and one representative of a community college.

Public Notice

This notice serves to inform interested residents of Clinton, Jackson, Muscatine, and Scott Counties that the Chief Elected Official Board and Regional Workforce Investment Board are developing the Regional Workforce Development Customer Service Plan for the Iowa Region 9 service area. This plan is available March 28, 2013 for public comments for 30 days and will be effective July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2017.

The plan incorporates services from the Workforce Investment Act Title 1 Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth, Wagner-Peyser, PROMISE JOBS, and Trade Adjustment Assistance. This plan also includes the Memorandum of Understanding and the Regional Needs Assessment.

A draft copy of this plan will be available for review commencing on March 28, 2013, at Iow@Work, 326 W. 3rd, Suite 910, Davenport IA 52801.
