Welcome to Eastern Iowa!  

Region 9 includes Jackson, Clinton, Scott and Muscatine counties. Activities in the region are plentiful and there are many rural and urban opportunities. Offerings include, but are not limited to, sports, education, culture, history, tourist attractions, annual events, and antiquing opportunities. Whether you are coming for a visit or thinking about relocating, there is something here for everyone. 

Region 9 serves a four-county area:

  • Jackson

  • Clinton

  • Scott

  • Muscatine

Offices are located in the following cities:

  • Davenport

Recreational Areas: Mississippi River Locks and Dams, Wild Cat Den State Park, Maquoketa Caves, Eagle Point Park, Scott County Park, and West Lake Park.

Cultural and Entertainment Opportunities: Bix Beiderbecke Jazz Festival, Bix Road Race, Quad City Symphony, Quad City Botanical Center, Vanderveer Conservatory, Davenport Art Gallery, Bettendorf Children's Museum,  John Deere Commons, Putnam Museum, Cody Homestead, professional hockey and baseball, John O'Donnell Stadium, The Mark of the Quad Cities, Quad Cities Blues Fest.

  • Employment Application (PDF) - If a job listing posted with Iowa Workforce Development requires completion of a "generic" job application, complete this Employment Application and send it to your nearest Workforce Development Center. Be sure to indicate both the employer name and job order number.

  • Service Application (PDF) - If you are interested in registering for Iowa Workforce Development services, including notification of current and future job openings, please complete this Service Application and send it to your nearest Workforce Development Center.
