The One-Stop Center, known locally as the Workforce Development Center, is located at 619 North Carroll Street in Carroll.  One-Stop customers are now able to access a wide variety of services at one location.

Development of the One-Stop Center was funded in part by state and federal dollars to develop a new customer-focused way to deliver workforce services. By offering these services in a convenient location, customers spend less time searching for the right place to go and more time using up-to-date services to get the answers to their questions.

IWD provides services such as job placement assistance, unemployment insurance, unemployment tax liability services, services for veterans, labor market information, dislocated worker programs (Re-employment Services), proficiency testing and career guidance assessments. Additional services and programs provided by workforce staff include pre-employment training, skills assessment, resume writing, institutional skills training, on-the-job  training, school-to-work staffing, at-risk youth programming, PROMISE JOBS, solo parent program, regional housing, self-sufficiency program, case management, career counseling, and work experience.
Region XII Council of Governments administers the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program.  In addition to WIA, the COG provides PROMISE JOBS services for the Department of Human Services and has partnered to administer various other innovative workforce development grants.  COG staff provides school-to-work and at-risk-youth services to several school districts in the region.
