only attracts an ever-growing number of visitors and new residents each
year, but also exciting new industries and development.

examples of recent economic growth in Region 8 include Scranton
Manufacturing in Scranton, Farmland Foods in Carroll and Denison,
Louis Dreyfus in Grand Junction and Evapco in Lake View.
Enhancing the region’s appeal are the recreational opportunities
found at numerous parks, museums, libraries and places of historic interest.

Lakes and rivers for swimming and fishing, mile after mile of biking, hiking,
and snowmobiling trails, and aquatic centers are just a few of the
