1.  Can a business list their job openings?

Yes, a business can post a job order with the Workforce Development Center and it will be listed on the IowaJobs.  Consequently, both working and non-working individuals are able to view the jobs that are listed. 

2.  How do we list a job opening?  Do I have to come into the office to list a job?

    There are THREE ways that a business can list a job opening:

  1. If you already have a blank Workforce Development Center job order, you can either fax or mail it back to us.
  2. Call us and we’ll fax or email you a job order form, or a staff member will gladly complete the job order with you.
  3. Provide the information online at http://www.iowaworks.org/job/contact.asp.

3.      Is there a cost to listing a job opening?

No, there is no charge for listing a job opening with the Workforce Development Center.

4.      When I list a job with you, where is it posted online?

All job orders that are listed with the Workforce Development Center will be listed automatically with http://www.iowajobs.org.

6.      What is the average pay (in this area) for a _____________
(job title)

7.      What is considered an average score for the 10-key test?

An average score for the 10-Key test is 100 k.p.m. or 6000 k.p.h.
