Region 5 Iowa Workforce Development partners with
Elderbridge Agency on Aging and Experience Works to provide additional services to men and women 55 years of age or older who are seeking full-time, part-time or temporary employment.
Elderbridge Agency on Aging
The Senior Internship Program (SIP)
assists job seekers age 55 and older to find employment. Services
include job search assistance, referrals to job openings, job coaching,
and other supportive services.
The Senior Internship Program
also helps low income older Iowans gain job skills through paid work
experience at temporary subsidized assignments. These
assignments are with nonprofit organizations and private employers
to assist low income SIP job seekers as they transition into
permanent unsubsidized employment.

Experience Works
In addition to assisting people 55 years of age or older in obtaining employment, Experience Works assists people in this
age range to obtain training for enhanced employability. Experience Works also offers incentive contracts to employers hiring clients. There are no fees to clients for Experience Works services.
