New Iowan Center
On March 11, 2002 Region 15 became home to a New Iowan Center. This center is located in the Ottumwa Workforce Center.
The New Iowan Center's purpose is to help anyone new to Iowa, whether from another state or another nation, with needs they may have associated with relocation. Services available to New Iowans include:

Identify and coordinate support services, such as housing, transportation, child care, legal services, counseling and interpretive services.

Coordinate delivery of English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) classes.

Provide employment related services, such as job placement, job-seeking/job-keeping skills, and individual counseling.

Outreach and assessment for employers.
