Announcing the Region 11 Event Calendar

The Iowa Workforce Center and its partners are proud to introduce the:

Region 11 Event Calendar

This calendar will list workshops, job fairs and events held by the Iowa Workforce Center, it's partners and other agencies in Central Iowa.  The events listed on this calendar are all geared towards helping Iowans become more employable and have no cost to attend.

At the Perry Workforce Center you will always be greeted with a smile and a friendly "good morning" or "good afternoon." 

Along with Dallas County, the Perry Workforce Center serves three other nearby counties (Greene, Guthrie and Boone counties).  Our office includes a resource room  with computers and access to the Internet.  The public may use these PCs to locate jobs, complete résumés, assist with career choices, find  labor market information, learn to type and take typing and data entry  tests.  We also have a bilingual (English/Spanish) Advisor on staff. 

Partners agencies in the center include PROMISE JOBS, Iowa Employment Solutions at DMACC, Experience Works, Vocational Rehabilitation and  Dislocated Workers.  Their services are available at the Perry  Workforce Development Center on a regular, part-time or appointment basis. 

Advisors at the Workforce Development Center are very involved in the local community.  They speak in school classrooms about IWD services, and have been involved with the School-To-Work Program.  They are members of the Perry Networkers, Perry Diversity Committee, Perry Law  Enforcement Taskforce Committee and the Dallas county Criminal Justice Committee.
