The Iowa Workforce Center and its
partners are proud to introduce the:
Region 11 Event
Calendar
This calendar will list workshops, job
fairs and
events held by the Iowa Workforce Center, it's partners and other agencies
in Central Iowa. The events listed on this calendar are all geared
towards helping Iowans become more employable and have no cost to attend.

Located in downtown
Ames, we offer a full line of services including placement
services, unemployment claims processing, testing, résumé building assistance, interviewing skills
assistance and
offer a basic introduction to
Microsoft Office computer training through the use of self-guided
tutorial software.
We also offer Iowa Advantage,
which
provides Iowans in transition a series of workshops addressing their
most immediate needs. These
include dealing with job loss, financial management, applying for
financial aid, résumé development, job search methods and tips on
keeping a job in today’s environment.
