Business Services

IWD Business Services

The Workforce Development Partnership (WDP) is much more than just the “unemployment office.” The goal of the Workforce Development Partnership is to provide quality, customer-driven services that support prosperity, productivity, health and safety for Iowans.

Services for employers in the seven-county area of Region 10 (Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Washington) include:

  • Recruiting
WDP staff seeks to match job seekers against the employment needs of prospective employers, and to make appropriate referrals. No fees are charged. Jobs listed with IWD are posted in local offices, and on several Internet sites: IowaJobs, JobCentral  and SmartCareer Move™. SmartCareer Move is for jobs paying a minimum of $30,000 per year.

  • Outreach
Region 10 has a Business Liaison to provide area employers assistance with recruitment and training needs, coordination of large-scale recruitment, such as the Career & Employment Fairs, and marketing of WDP products and services.
