The Employers’ Council of Iowa (ECI) and IowaWorks will be hosting Mike Whitmore, IOSHA Consultant who will present workshops on Wed., March 28th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Coralville Library, 1401 4th Street – Lower Level, targeted for the general industry sector and on Wed., April 4, 2012 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. for the construction industries. The general industries workshop will focus on: reducing repetitive motion injuries, developing a healthy workplace, common risk factors for injury and much more. The construction industry workshop will focus on: minimizing accidents, common safety risks in the construction industry and residential fall protection requirements.

Register to attend Chief Administrative Law Judge Joe Walsh’s workshop on Wed., April 11 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Joe will help to clarify the rules related to unemployment insurance and the appeals process, identify what constitutes a discharge for misconduct, when a “quit for good cause” is attributable to the business and much more.
