Iowa Workforce Development Partners and Educational Providers Offer Fair

Iowa City – Iowa Workforce Development is partnering with local educational providers to offer an educational fair on Wednesday, April 14th from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. The location is the Eastdale Plaza, 1700 South 1st Ave., Suite 11B, Iowa City.

“We are excited to work with Michael Barr from the University of Phoenix to offer an informational fair dedicated to skills training and college opportunities for people looking for a career change or simply upgrading their employability skills,” says Brenda Dodge, Manager of the Iowa City Iowa Workforce Development office.

This is a great opportunity to talk to colleges and universities to learn about training programs, enrollment processes and financial aid awards. If you have ever thought about going back to school or earning a degree, you should attend this interactive fair. Businesses that offer tuition reimbursement benefits or skills training for their employees are welcome to attend as well.

The following higher learning institutions and training providers will be in attendance: University of Phoenix, Upper Iowa University, New Horizons, Kaplan University, Mount Mercy College, La’James, University of Iowa and Kirkwood Community College.

For more information, contact the Iowa Workforce Development office at (319) 351-1035.
