About Labor Force Tables

The following files are taken from the Labor Force Tables publication. The files contain data on labor force, employment, unemployment and unemployment rate for each Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), county, and city. MSA and county data also contain employment levels by industrial group within that MSA or county.

These data are produced monthly and completely revised yearly. Labor Force, Resident Unemployed and Resident Total Employment are expressed in thousands. For example, 53.4 is 53,400.  All statewide labor force data are seasonally adjusted.  Labor force data for MSA's, counties, and cities are not seasonally adjusted.
