(for Alien Labor Certification)
Employers may use the Alien Labor Certification Program to hire foreign workers on a temporary or permanent basis. Federal regulations require the employer to pay the prevailing wage rate for an alien worker’s occupation and geographic area of intended employment. Prevailing wage determinations for aliens working in Iowa are made by the Labor Market Information Bureau.
