Question :
Is my employer required to give me notice when he fires me? Do I have to give notice when I quit?

Answer :
No. No. No notice is required by either party based on the "employment-at-will" doctrine. However, notice of quitting may affect your fringe benefits, such as vacation and sick leave, etc. Look at your employee handbook or the past practice of the employer for guidance on what to do to receive your fringe benefits upon termination.
