If I am offered employment, what wage do I have to accept while I’m drawing Unemployment Insurance? |

Answer :
You are required to seek and accept suitable work. A job offer is considered unsuitable if the wages are below the following percentages of your gross average weekly wage, as calculated by Iowa Workforce Development: a. 100% if work is offered during the first five weeks of your claim; b. 75% if work is offered from the sixth through 12th weeks of your claim; c. 70% if work is offered during the 13th through 18th weeks of your claim and d. 65% if work is offered after the 18th week of your claim.
You are not required to accept employment below the federal or state minimum wage. |
