Question
:
If I get a job, will I lose my benefits, food stamps and medical? |
| |
|
 |
Answer :
The goal of PROMISE JOBS is to help you find employment that pays enough so you won’t need a Family Investment Plan (FIP), food stamps or medical benefits. But getting a job doesn’t mean you are automatically removed from those programs. The Department of Human Services (DHS) determines eligibility on a case by case basis. What’s important is that you continue to report your earnings or changes in employment to (DHS) as required. |
