Question
: What is the youngest age to begin employment in Iowa? |
| |
|
| Answer : Generally, age 14; however, children may work in the street trades (like newspaper delivery, candy sales) at age 10, and in migratory labor at 12. A judge can order the Labor Commissioner to issue a work permit to a person under the age of 14. Visit the Child Labor and Work Permits page for more information. |
