Iowa COMPASS is Iowa's free, statewide information and referral service for people with disabilities, their families, service providers, and other members of the community. We maintain information on approximately 5,000 local, state, and national agencies and programs.
The service, known as Relay Iowa, is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with no restrictions on the number of calls placed or on their length. This valuable communications tool gives all individuals who are deaf, hard-of-hearing or speech impaired the opportunity to make personal and business calls just like any other telephone user. Both TTY and voice users may initiate calls through Relay Iowa. Simply dial 711 to use Relay Iowa to place a call.
ABLEDATA provides objective information about assistive technology products and rehabilitation equipment available from domestic and international sources. Although ABLEDATA does not sell any products, we can help you locate the companies that do. Sponsored by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, U.S. Department of Education.
