Amusement Ride Inspections
The Division of Labor inspects
amusement rides and concessions at least once annually to assure
compliance with state rules. In 2007, the Division of Labor issued
107 permits and conducted 1,626 inspections.
An operator must obtain a permit from the labor commissioner before
operating any amusement device or ride, concession booth or any related
electrical equipment in Iowa.

Permit Fees and Inspection Fees: On
January 1, 2009, permit fees and inspection fees for amusement
rides will increase. Please
